Term 1 2023 Dates

Hello and welcome to McAuley Catholic College for 2023. Here is a summary of our return dates for the start of the school year:

Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th January - College Office Open 9am -1pm

Wednesday 25th January - New staff induction Day

Thursday 26th January - Australia Day Public Holiday

Friday 27th January – All Staff return to work - Administration Day. College Office open 8.30 - 3.30

Monday, 30th January - First day for Years 7, 11 & 12.  There is a breakfast gathering for year 7 and their parents from 8am.

Tuesday 31st January - All students return

Forestry Excursion Postponed - 24 October

Due to the wet weather the Year 9 Forestry Excursion has been postponed. 

HSC starts Wednesday 12 October

We wish our Year 12 students all the best for their HSC exams and ask our community to keep our Year 12's in their thoughts and prayers over the next 4 weeks.  

Important dates for Week 1 Term 4 2022

All students and staff return to school on Monday 10th October.

Friday 14th October is a Staff Development Day on School Improvement. (This is a pupil-free day)

Friday 27 May 22 - Limited Supervision

The College will be open today with limited supervision due to protected industrial action. 

College Open - Wednesday 4 May 2022

McAuley will be open and fully operational today, 4 May 2022. You may be aware that the Teachers Federation which represents staff in Government Schools intends to take strike action today. The strike action does not impact staff in Catholic Schools. Please see the email regarding this, sent on Monday 2 May.

College Open - Monday 4th April 2022

The College will be open on Monday 4th April and we look forward to welcoming our students back to school. Please see your email for more details. 

College Closed - Friday 1 April 2022

The College is closed again today due to road closures in the area. Student work will be posted online. Please see your emails for more details. Kate Thomson

Friday 1st April 2022 - Review at 6.45am

Thursday 31st March, 5.30pm - At this point in time, the Clarence River has peaked; however, the water levels are dropping very slowly. The main access road to the College - The Big River Way - remains closed this afternoon.

Therefore, we will reassess the situation at 6.45am tomorrow, Friday 1st April and a notification will be made to all families by 7.00am as to whether the school is open or closed.
