Welcome to McAuley Catholic College

McAuley Catholic College is situated on the Pacific Highway on the outskirts of Grafton in northern New South Wales. It is a co-educational secondary school conducted by the Clarence Valley Parish within the Diocese of Lismore. The College was formed in 1990 with the amalgamation of three local Catholic schools – Holy Spirit College, St Aloysius College and St Mary’s College. The College’s ethos has been derived from the traditions of two great Religious Orders: the Sisters of Mercy and the Marist Brothers. Since the late 1800s the Sisters of Mercy have been involved in Catholic Education in Grafton and continue to have a significant presence and mission in the local community.

Dear Parents/Guardians ,

The RFS has identified that the catastrophic conditions of recent days have now passed and, as such, the College will re-open tomorrow, Thursday, 14 November, running as normal a timetable as is possible.

Should this position change at short notice overnight, you will be notified by email, text, Skoolbag app and Facebook. Parents of children with respiratory illnesses may consider keeping them home; however, supervised indoor spaces will be available to all students during break times.

If you have been directly impacted by these fires, I ask that you make contact with me directly (and confidentially) via email in the first instance: aaron.beach@lism.catholic.edu.au
so that we can work out how best to support you at this most difficult time.

Finally, thank you all for your support over these past few extraordinary days, it has been very much appreciated.
